Senior Vice President Operations, Highgate Portugal

Optimistic hotelier with over 20 years in executive leadership roles, determined to identify and unlock human potential. Currently as Senior Vice President of Operations for the Highgate group, he is responsible for a portfolio of 20 multi-brand units in Portugal, as part of one of the largest and most ambitious hotel projects nationwide. Previously, he held general management, area director and global sales director roles for different international groups in London for 10 years. It was there that he was distinguished as one of the 20 best general managers in the United Kingdom, and was part of the team that took the Dandelyan to number 1 in the world’s 50 Best Hotel Bars ranking. With a degree and master’s degree in International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey, at the beginning of his career he worked for 14 years in Portugal at the iconic Pine Cliffs. Here he held management positions in revenue management, accommodation and operations. It was during this period that he discovered his interest and passion for revenue management, something that he deepened by training at Porto Business School and other institutions, developing in particular the area of total revenue management.
